Storytime with Mrs. Rodriguez: Turning Bad Days Around!

Our school principal, Mrs. Rodriguez, recently shared her favorite book, Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day by Judith Viorst, with Mrs. Posperi’s first-grade class. Through Alexander’s story, students learned that bad days happen to everyone, but with a positive mindset, we have the power to turn things around and make the best of any situation. It was a wonderful lesson in resilience and optimism!

Mr. Moco's Third-Grade Class Publishes "Gnometastic Recipes"!

We are thrilled to announce that Mr. Moco's third-grade class has put their creativity and teamwork to the test by publishing a delightful collection of recipes titled Gnometastic Recipes! This whimsical cookbook features a variety of family favorites, imaginative dishes, and even gnome-inspired culinary creations—all lovingly written and illustrated by the students themselves.

The project combined literacy, art, and community-building skills, inspiring the young authors to explore the joys of cooking while learning the art of storytelling. Gnometastic Recipes is a testament to the student’s creativity and hard work, and it’s sure to add a sprinkle of magic to every meal.

Santa Visits SBA!

Santa Visits Pre-K to Spread Holiday Cheer! 🎅✨


This holiday season, our Pre-K classes received a magical surprise visit from Santa himself! The joy and excitement in the air were truly contagious as students celebrated together the holiday cheer. From our SBA family to yours, we wish you a season filled with love, laughter, and holiday spirit. Happy Holidays! 🎄

The Mitten Tree

The Mitten Tree: Keeping Our Community Warm

Susan B. Anthony Elementary School is excited to continue the tradition of the Mitten Tree, a heartwarming project led by our Pre-K teacher, Mrs. Murphy. This initiative collects mittens, gloves, and hats to help keep members of our community warm during the winter months.

Families are invited to send in donations. Items will be placed on the beautifully decorated Mitten Tree located near the main office. The collection runs through Friday, December 20th, and all items will be distributed to local shelters and community organizations.

Let’s work together to spread warmth and kindness this season!

Toy Drive at SBA

Student Council Toy Drive Brings Holiday Cheer

The Student Council at Susan B. Anthony Elementary School is spreading joy this holiday season with their annual Toy Drive! Under the dedicated guidance of their advisor, Ms. Triano, students are working together to collect new, unwrapped toys for children in need within our community.

Every contribution helps bring a smile to a child's face and makes their holiday season a little brighter.

Mrs. McKenna is passionate about helping students develop strong reading skills and a lifelong love of literature. In her small group sessions, she creates a supportive and engaging environment where students build confidence through targeted instruction, collaborative discussions, and personalized strategies. The Ned Show Visits SBA!

Students at Susan B. Anthony Elementary were inspired by the NED Show! Through storytelling, humor, and yo-yo tricks, they learned how to Never give up, Encourage others, and Do their best—keys to success and kindness!

Pre-K Visit with Lola!

The Pre-K classes at SBA had a special visitor: Lola, a beautiful three-year-old therapy dog! The students learned about pets and were curious about Lola's daily routine.  Thank you to Ms. Tuorto, our Math Coach, for making this visit possible!
